Not To Get Any Hopes Up!!!

Hello all!!! I'm am not technically "back" but will hopefully have my own computer back before the end of the week. I'm currently at Susan and Trip's using their computer. The guy who has mine and is supposed to be fixing it will hopefully have the part today. Problem is, he isn't sure that the part he's getting is going to fix what is wrong. We'll just have to wait and see. The key word here is "HOPEFULLY"!!! If it isn't fixed, I'm going to take it to Best Buy or wherever and have the Geek Squad take over. At least with them it hopefully won't take over a month to fix. Regardless though, cross your fingers that the guy who currently has it will be able to fix the issue.

So, things with me have been one long, crazy month of turmoil and craziness and excitement.

First, Trip and Susan are new parents to one cute boy. He is currently trying to wake up - by that I mean he's crying and Susan is trying to feed him and Molly is trying to stick her nose in his ear. He is cuter than you can imagine and I love him and plan on spending as much time with him as possible this summer. When I get my own computer back, I'll post many many pictures.

Second, Maggie and Charlie are getting ready to move back to OHIO!!! I can't believe it. They will be less than two hours away in Columbus! I'm in hog heaven. I think the most exciting thing about all of this is that Jim is going to get to meet the famous Maxi Pad! He's one cute bulldog but he does have a tendency to jizz all over your leg. I think seeing Max do that to Jim is the most exciting thing about Maggie and Charlie moving hereish. Anyway, they will be here by the 10th of June - stay for a few days in Cincy and will then be on the hunt for a house. Very exciting! Can't wait!!!

The third and most traumatic thing of late is that Zeke has cancer. I found this out yesterday. Yesterday was not a good day. This past week has not been a good week. Now, the good news with Zeke is that the cancer he has has a very good prognosis. He will have surgery next Wednesday to have part of his ear removed so that they can get all the cancer that they missed when they removed the original tumor. {Molly Longbody (you know, Trip and Susan's basset hound) said that she would donate part of her ear for transplant. Zeke is very grateful!} After his surgery, I don't know what will happen but in the meantime, he's getting extra hugs and carrots. Everyone pray for him - he's my first born.

The fourth thing that has set me into a tizzy is that the cicadas have emerged in my neighborhood. Unbelievably, they are only in my yard. It's sort of ridiculous. Seriously! No other house in my circle has cicadas! They aren't flying around yet but it's only a matter of time. I'm currently on the hunt for one of those beekeeper outfits just so I can walk the dogs. Let me know if any of you know where I can get one. I'll pay anything.

The drama in my life never ends...and I haven't even hit on all the shit at work that's occurred in the last month. That's a whole other book. Which I will leave until I get my own computer back. I mean, I haven't seen my nephew in two weeks and need to go get in some cuddles.

Okay, I'll update, HOPEFULLY, before the end of the week. Later.

Charlie and I are holding paws and praying for Zeke.

Oh, and keep the @#$%*& cicadas in your neighborhood. I've only found 2 shells and a few holes, so I'm hoping they have moved - maybe to your 'hood! :-)

HOORAH- You are back - I have missed you immensely! J.J. who John has nicknamed Quad is adorable. California's loss is Ohio's gain with Maggie and Charlie. And Zeke is in my prayers-cancer with dogs is just not fair-they have no bad habits to cause it...Love, Kathleen

I'm so glad you're back! I really, really missed you. I am very sad about Zeke, I will be praying for him too. You have all the cicadas because you have all the trees and they all talk to each other you know. We have them too, Dylan loves, loves, loves them. He especially likes to collect their shells. Welcome back again!
