Miscellaneous Stuff

Today, I got home early from school (at about 2:00) which was so nice. It was hilarious too because the dogs aren't used to me getting home at that time and I caught all of them sleeping. It scared me for a minute though because normally when I pull the car into the garage and get ready to walk into the house, I can hear all 3 of them barking (or howling as is Bubba's case) like fiends. Today, however, it took me a few seconds to realize that they hadn't been expecting me and so were still snoozing. Nice to know that if someone were to break in, they would be all fired up. NOT!

Ugh! Can I just tell you (the one or two people reading) that I can't stand people being unprofessional and creating stressful and tense work places? There is a whole stink going on at my school with the administration that I am so floored about. My current principal, who is the interim principal due to our original principal passing away at the beginning of the year, is being completely screwed by assholes. This woman has stepped in to a horrible situation this year and done a great job at running our school. And, what does our superintendent do to thank her? Well, if excluding her from every aspect regarding the high school is thanks, then, he's going above and beyond. I would write that I hope these people screwing her would never get a hold of this blog and read this but I really wouldn't care. In fact if I thought it would do anything to give them a light bulb moment regarding their effed up methods then I would provide them with the address. BUT...I don't think that people like that care. If they did, if they were upstanding people at all, they wouldn't act the way they do in the first place. I'm just so mad. Money grubbing, brown nosing, loud and obnoxious jackasses.

I feel better now.

Current read: The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - a good book...I'm only about 100ish pages into it and really like it but know that something bad is about to happen so I've been reading slowly. Much interesting information so far about Afghanistan. I'll let you know the outcome.

I need to start investing in my summer reading books so if anyone out there comes across any really good reads, clue me in.

Oh, Jim and I have gotten our dates for Put-in-Bay and hope to go during most of the time between June 11 - June 18. (Due to unforeseen circumstances, we probably won't be able to go for the whole week but I hope for at least 5 days.) I hate coming home on a Sunday anyway because of the crazy ferry line (I'm not being homophobic, I mean the boats to take the cars and passengers to the island - I'm funny!!!) It will be one of the few years we haven't been there for our anniversary too but that's ok...we'll celebrate with our 3 sweeties.
